This story is closer to my heart than others simply because it has to do with someone from my country of origin. His name is Daniel Scocco, and he is from Brazil.

I know I’ve been writing a lot lately about membership sites and promoting Yaro Starak’s program, and this is because I truly believe in it as a viable method of taking your blog a step further and monetizing it.

I’m originally from Brazil, and if you think Brazil is a beautiful country with lots of beautiful beaches filled with people who love to party, you would be correct! (Rio de Janeiro’s famous Ipanema Beach is shown above, and Copacabana beach is shown on the right.)

However, the other side to Brazil is that it is a country in which it is a constant challenge and struggle for many to make a sustainable income and live above the poverty line. I don’t want to get into a statistics battle or have any arguments about the economy in Brazil, mind you, but I can tell you that I am overjoyed to read a story about a Brazilian who used Yaro Starak’s methods to get his own membership site up and running successfully!

I now live in Canada, but was born in São Paulo, one of the top 10 largest cities in the world. As you can imagine, traffic is horrendous (equivalent to Mexico City, if you’ve ever been there), and like New York, it’s a city that never sleeps. As you can also imagine, there is quite a lot of competition in the world of employment, and it’s not always easy to get ahead as the cost of living is constantly on the rise (although this is true everywhere you go). Ever since I was a child, I remember my parents talking about Brazil’s high inflation rates, although apparently 2009 has been a good year so far in Brazil – though the cost of living is still on the rise, considering that a Big Mac apparently costs more in São Paulo than it does in New York City and London… for more on that, read this article.

Anyway, getting back to the subject at hand, if you have a little time to spare, check out Yaro’s podcast interview with Daniel Scocco to hear more on how he managed to bring in over $10,000 from a single membership site, and be prepared to do some serious thinking about how it just may be worthwhile to participate in Yaro’s course…
